The best AI app design tools in 2026, compared

Outclass, Sleek, Google Stitch, Uizard, Banani, Visily, Magic Patterns, Subframe and Lovable: what each AI design tool is best at, and how to choose.

· 3 min read

There are now many AI tools that design apps, and they're less alike than their homepages suggest. Some design finished screens, some make wireframes, some build working code. This guide sorts them by the job they do best.

The short version

OutclassEvery screen of an app, polished and editable, for mobile, tablet and webFigma layers, PNG, HTML
SleekAI-designed mobile app screens for coding agentsReact with Tailwind, HTML, Figma

How to choose

Ask three questions:

  1. Do you need a design, or a working app? For a design you can review and refine, use a design tool (Outclass, Sleek, Stitch, Banani). For something people can use today, use an app builder like Lovable, ideally after the design is settled.
  2. Where does the result go next? If a designer will continue in Figma, check that the tool exports editable layers with auto layout, not images. If developers will build it, check the code or HTML export.
  3. How much control do you need? Prompt-only tools are quick but imprecise. Tools with a visual editor let you fix exact details without another AI round.

The tools

Outclass

Outclass designs every screen of an app from a sentence, in one design system with a direction picked for the app's category. It can also recreate screens from screenshots and screen recordings. You refine by chat (for the whole screen or one selected element) or in a visual editor with drag, resize, snapping and layers. Screens copy to Figma as editable layers with auto layout; Figma, PNG and HTML exports are always free. It designs for mobile, tablet and desktop web.

Sleek

An AI mobile app designer that plans a visual identity and the screens before drawing, then exports React with Tailwind or HTML and pastes into Figma. Strong if you build with coding agents. See Outclass vs Sleek.

Google Stitch

Google Labs' free AI UI designer, driven by Gemini. Good for fast exploration; editing is mostly by prompt, and reviewers report Figma output that needs cleanup. See Outclass vs Google Stitch.

Uizard

A beginner-friendly design tool that turns prompts, sketches and screenshots into editable mockups and prototypes. Export is limited to images, PDF and individual component code. See Outclass vs Uizard.

Banani

An AI UI generator for text-to-UI, screenshot-to-UI and design systems, with Figma and HTML export. See Outclass vs Banani.

Visily

AI wireframing with real-time collaboration and templates, built for product teams without designers. See Outclass vs Visily.

Magic Patterns

AI prototypes built with real code and your own components, for product teams with a design system. See Outclass vs Magic Patterns.

Subframe

A component-based visual editor that exports React and Tailwind code, with AI assistance. See Outclass vs Subframe.

Lovable

An AI app builder that writes and hosts working web apps with a database and sign-in. It builds rather than designs. See Outclass vs Lovable.

Our advice

Try two tools with the same prompt and the same real content. Judge the results on the checklist in how to design an app with AI: one focal point per screen, real content, consistent components, readable text. The difference between tools shows quickly.
