Google Stitch alternatives for designing app screens

Google Stitch is free, but editing is imprecise and its Figma files need cleanup. Five alternatives for designing app screens with AI, compared.

Google Stitch is a great free way to see an idea on screen. People move on from it for three reasons: changing one detail by prompting is slow, the Figma output needs cleaning up before a designer can use it, and as a Google Labs experiment it can change at any time. These alternatives address those problems in different ways.

1. Outclass: precise editing and clean Figma layers

Outclass designs every screen of an app in one design system, then lets you refine it two ways: a visual editor (click, drag, resize, edit text, change colors and spacing) or a chat that edits just the element you selected. Screens copy to Figma with auto layout and meaningful layer names. It also recreates screens from screenshots and screen recordings. Best for: turning a first idea into a design you can hand off. See Outclass vs Google Stitch.

2. Sleek: mobile app screens with code

Designs mobile app screens in a consistent style and exports React with Tailwind, HTML or Figma layers. Best for: mobile apps you'll build with a coding agent. See Outclass vs Sleek.

3. Banani: multi-screen UI from text or images

Text-to-UI, screenshot-to-UI and a design system generator, with Figma and HTML export. See Outclass vs Banani.

4. Uizard: beginner-friendly mockups

An easy all-in-one editor for mockups and prototypes, including sketch-to-design. See Outclass vs Uizard.

5. Magic Patterns: prototypes in code

Coded, interactive prototypes using your own components. See Outclass vs Magic Patterns.

Which to choose

If Stitch's main problem for you is control and file quality, try Outclass. If it's that you need code, try Sleek or Magic Patterns. For a full list, see the best AI app design tools.
